Infrared Spectroscopy of Polymers X: Polyacrylates

چکیده

Acrylate polymers are derivatives of acrylic acid, but contain a plethora different functional groups and best discussed by themselves. In this column, we study the spectrum an important polymer, polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), which is otherwise known as plexiglass, found in windows, car parts, paint. We then spectra PMMA mixtures copolymers detail.

Fourier Transform Infrared and Fourier Transform Raman Spectroscopy of Polymers

This chapter covers the fundamental principles and current applications of Fourier transform (FT) infrared and Fourier transform Raman spectroscopies as utilized in the analysis of polymeric materials. The primary emphasis of the first part is on the principles and advantages of these interferometric methods, whereas the remaining sections illustrate numerous applications focusing on the struct...

Nondestructive Firmness Estimation of Tomato Fruit Using Near-Infrared Spectroscopy

Today, nondestructive methods are widely used to determine the quality of agricultural products. Meanwhile, visible and near-infrared (Vis/NIR) spectroscopy is regarded as one of the most widely used methods in the field of quality assessment of agricultural products. In this study, a system was developed to measure the Vis/NIR spectra of tomato fruit samples in the half-transmittance mode of m...

brain near-infrared spectroscopy (nirs)

near-infrared spectroscopy (nirs) is a spectroscopic method that uses the near-infrared region of the electromagnetic spectrum. typical applications include medical and physiological diagnostics. nirs can be used for non-invasive assessment of brain function through the intact skull in human subjects by detecting changes in blood hemoglobin concentrations associated with neural activity, e.g., ...

NMR Spectroscopy of Polymers

molecular tumbling causes that anisotropy of nuclear interaction now plays dominant role in the appearance of NMR spectra. Frankly speaking the NMR signals are very broad and spectra become featureless. In general missing isotropic tumbling leads to severe broadening of the detected signals. The lack of resolution, however; does not mean the absence of structure information, it rather reflects ...

Infrared spectroscopy of low - mass X - ray binaries II

Using CGS4 on UKIRT, we have obtained 2.00–2.45 μm infrared spectra of a number of low-mass X-ray binaries including Sco X-1, Sco X-2, and GX13+1. Sco X-1 shows emission lines only, supporting our previous conclusion that the spectral type of the evolved secondary must be earlier than G5. Emission lines are also seen in the spectrum of Sco X-2, confirming the identity of the IR counterpart. We ...
